Montessori Nursery Teacher Training Course

As a leading Montessori Nursery teacher training institute in Jodhpur All India Teacher Training Academy offering a Montessori Nursery teacher training course which is based on the famous “Montessori Method of education”. As a international Montessori teacher training institute we always try to deliver authentic training to each of our students.

About The Course

The Montessori Method of education, developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, is a child-centered educational approach based on scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood. The Montessori Method is now being successfully implemented in schools in nearly every country of the world.

Her clinical observation of children helped her understand that the children learn from the environment in which they find themselves. Hence, she developed such materials which could be used by children to learn naturally. According to Montessori, learning is a ‘self – directed’ process that is based on some fundamental laws of human nature. The children can learn by themselves in the presence of a suitable environment and the adult’s role is to provide children with such an environment and to keep intact. The Montessori Method gives a lot of freedom to the child to utilize their own observation and skills to learn new things.

It helps the child to become self-sufficient and independent. Montessori Method of education basically fosters and emphasizes the children’s natural drive to learn by providing them a “prepared environment” completely suited for the different stages of development. Montessori Method of teaching is unique as the teacher plays the role of a guide helping the children with their own research and exploration of a subject based on their own interests. It is the duty of a Montessori teacher to lead the children towards independence and self-discipline. Therefore, it is very important that the teachers pursue a Montessori course before venturing into Montessori teaching. Moreover, a Montessori teacher needs to cultivate the qualities of patience and restraint.

The maximum duration of the course is 220 hours which covers a period of 10 months. The flexibility to finish it in a shorter span of time is also available. For further guidance kindly get in touch with the admission’s department.

No. This is not a compulsory requirement, however, we do highly recommend that you seek an internship, assistant, or volunteer position in a Montessori classroom setting while participating in the AITTA, Montessori teacher training program. This allows you to experience and put into immediate practice your written training. The vast majority of our students are already working in a Montessori environment. As such, their current responsibilities far exceed that of a student teacher. We do not feel it is necessary to require an internship from people currently employed in a Montessori environment. However, persons not familiar to the Montessori environment are recommended to undergo training with a Montessori House of Children, for at least one month. This can be done at a Montessori house near your neighborhood. You can be provided an introduction letter from AITTA to be given to the Directress of the Montessori House, where you wish to undergo training. At the end of your training, you should submit an internship report to AITTA.

No. This course may be comfortably completed within 6 to 9 months, if proceeding at a consistent pace. Rushing you through the course would be jeopardizing the quality of the program. You are required to spend a minimum of three months to study the course. For your benefit, and the benefit of children, we will not compromise our standards of excellence.

All centers of higher learning have schedules that must be adhered to. Your personal tutor will consider extensions on an individual basis for students under extreme distress.

You will be assigned one primary evaluator and one co-evaluator. Your personal tutor will be the primary evaluator. This provides consistency, a balanced perspective, and allows you to establish a personal rapport. Your personal tutor will commit to your success by offering guidance and encouragement.

We definitely feel that in order for a prospective teacher to be taken seriously, classroom experience is a necessary component to compliment our program. For students lacking Montessori classroom experience, we generally suggest that after they have completed approximately two thirds of our program, it is time to approach a local school(s) and offer your services as a volunteer teacher. This will provide them with valuable and credible practical experience as well as important contacts.

It depends on where you live. The answer is yes in some areas, and no in others. It could also depend on whether you want to start off working as the teacher responsible for the classroom, or as a classroom assistant. Private schools are almost always much more flexible with their teacher’s educational requirements.

Yes. Like all Montessori Diplomas, ours is valid internationally. In fact, our students come from over fifty countries worldwide. Like a growing number of Montessori Training Centers, we are independent. Being independent provides us with the freedom to offer the highest quality program possible, without interference. To affiliate ourselves with any of the older, more orthodox organizations would require us to make program compromises, which we will not consider.

This is a question that is simply not possible for us to answer. Salaries differ across the globe, and even vary considerably within communities. The best solution is to ask someone you know. If this is not possible, consider telephoning a few local schools. Explain to the person you are speaking with that you are considering training to become a Montessori teacher and you are wondering what an average salary might be. Emphasize that you are not inquiring about their school’s salary schedule, but, rather, a community average.
